With the laying of hands on my head, a 40 second Deeksha has transferred divine energy to my body. A tingling sensation gave the effect that a small hole had been poked into the crown of my head. Breathing deeply, I sink into a peaceful meditation. From the base of my spine, energy is rising and visually I can see energy flowing back and forth, waving upwards, and then suddenly the head of a cobra snake is looking at me! Kundalini energy has awakened my soul to this dance of life, and what would turn out to be my Divine path to Oneness. This first experience of Deeksha, ultimately led me to the Oneness University in Batthalavallam, India, (known as the Golden City), 70 km. outside of Chennai. Together with 450 students from all over the world, I would attend a 21-day process in almost complete silence. The founders of the Oneness University, Sri Bhagavan and Sri Amma are avatars (or teachers) of oneness and Enlightenment. They have manifested a religious free movement without doctrines, rules or regulations. This University is a university for the soul, where clearing of chakras, and deep meditation allows us to release emotional, physical and mental blockages, which prevent us from fully experiencing life. Christian Opitz, Ph.D. (Biochemist and Neurophysicist), confirms that the process of Deeksha initiates a neurobiological change in the brain. It is said that the frontal lobes of people who have received Deeksha expand and the parietal lobes relax. Christian Opitz states, “that with the blocking of the parietal lobes (which give humans their sense of orientation) a feeling of expanded consciousness is produced. The stimulation of the frontal lobes also releases dopamine, the essential neurotransmitter that creates a feeling of bliss.” With Deeksha, we experience a shift in consciousness and the process of Enlightenment begins, taking us to a permanent witness state. Living in the present, moment to moment, the mind is silenced, and a permanent feeling of joy and peace emerges within. The wall that separates our physical being and the ego/personality from the higher self completely merges with the intelligence that created the universe, or the Divine, to release all inner conflict. The next stage, the Oneness State, connects us to every living thing. We no longer feel individual or separateness and begin to experience life as an observer. Without judgement, we watch our physical, mental and emotional states. Without relationship dramas, we merely observe ourselves interacting. The beauty of this is that out of life, a simplicity evolves. Life becomes full of joy, peace, amusement and bliss. The most profound experience I felt during the 21- day process, was an encounter with the Divine. During a meditation, my “God,” came to me in the form of a vision. I was able to see, feel, and hear the voice of “my” Divine. Each personal relationship we have with “presence,” is individual. The beauty, is that we all assume the same energy of God or Divine, in different forms that we create. Divine energy is just that, a feeling, sight or sound that resonates within you. It connects each of us and gives us the gift of divine love compassion and wisdom. Expanding into this new cosmic consciousness, we become the movement of creation. The song you resonate with, the dance you feel emerging within, or the tree from mother earth you hug and connect to. This is the true divine nature of love, compassion, and wisdom that evolves into the state of God realization. Here, our higher self, the in-dweller, spirit within or God is integrated into your entire being. As we enjoy this permanent state of oneness, our Divine path emerges and we awaken to a feeling of beauty of all that is, awakening the soul to Enlightenment. Bhagavan has always said that there will be 6 billion different experiences of enlightenment because every person is uniquely individual. Regardless of race, culture or religion, Enlightenment seems to be the driving force of humanity, with an on-going struggle between ego, personality, and the surrender to the divine. Now the collective consciousness is awakening to the reality of an ultimate union between self and love, the divine and all that is. The simplicity of this allows us to see a bigger picture. Where humanity on earth is transformed to a place of peace. Where positive human vibrations can rise above chaos and conflict, and resurface to expand individual consiousness to the whole of humanity. Years ago, I was told by a dear friend that all of humanity was a part of a larger consciousness. At the time, I was not able to surrender to that, still in ego, I was content in feeling individual and separate from all that is. It was only when this path failed, that I began to surrender to oneness. All obstacles, challenges and experiences become a celebration of life as it returns us to the path of light and oneness, where divine peace, joy and love prevail. With Divine Grace or Deeksha, the enlightenment process is given in order to uplift human consciousness from a state of chronic separation and suffering into a state of enlightenment. The vision of Bhagavan and Amma is to enlighten at least .001% or 1/10 of 1% of the worlds population (64000 people) by the year 2012. This would allow for a shift of mass consciousness to occur on the earth. The Oneness Temple is an impressive structure, 5 times bigger than the Taj Mahal and architechturally designed to amplify meditative energy using similar designs to the mayan or vedic sacred geometry. Built over lay-lines, the iron ore running deep beneath the crust of the earth acts as a magnetic force and allow the energy to form a type of shield. Amplified with 8000 cosmic beings meditating at a deep level, within the temple, a protective blanket of positive energy is formed. As smaller meditating groups or healing circles around the earth connect to form a web-like energy layer, the energy rises and allows for the shift of human consciousness into a permanent state of oneness. According to quantum physicist, John Hagelin, Ph.D, (Director of the Institute of Science, Technology and Public Policy at the Peace University in Fairfield, Iowa), 8000 cosmic beings (highly vibrational meditators) is the number calculated after years of research on the field effects of meditation, as the minimum number of people necessary to affect, the morphogenic fields of human consciousness worldwide and trigger a paradigm shift. Ideally, wave amplification increases as is planned for the Oneness temple in the Golden City. Millions of people around the world have received Deeksha, and since 2003, the Oneness Movement has spread worldwide. Now, 13 people in Canada who have gone through the 21-day process at the Oneness University are offering Deekshas. A private or group session begins with a grounding meditation and the Deeksha givers reciting the Moola Mantra to invite in the divine energy. With the placement of their hands on the head of the recipient, the Deeksha energy is transmitted. Some recipients, report feeling a tingling sensation or receive profound visions or emotions. In time, a personal transformation evolves and the Deesha energy is experienced within. The Oneness movement inspires all of humanity. We can all live in a state of peace, love and happiness, regardless of our backgrounds, belief systems, culture or religion. The simplicity of Deeksha and this transfer of positive energy gives us a new found feeling of hope and trust in the Divine. We now have faith in the future of our children and generations to come. As our planet and all of humanity goes through significant changes on earth, we will enter into a major evolutionary transformation or the “Golden Age.” As vibration and energy increase, it begins to affect our individual and collective consciousness. Impacting our relationships, social structures and our environment and the entirely world as we know it. To witness the shift of humanity is the Golden Age of Enlightenment. Together as one, we can ultimately experience a heaven on earth. What a wonderful world it will be. In celebration of life based on divine love, compassion & wisdom, a new world begins to evolve and the future of humanity enfolds. In honour of all children of the universe, let us quote from the poem, Savitri, as the late master Sri Aurobindo of India vividly describes a coming new race of humanity emerging on earth. “I saw them cross the twilight of an age, The sun-eyed children of a marvelous dawn, Great creators with wide brows of calm, The massive barrier-breakers of the world, Laborers in the quarries of the gods, The architects of immortality.” Love and Light, Jane To receive Deeksha, contact Jane Wishart at janewishart@shaw.ca |
